What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Current versionFirst published version of the Privacy Policy.Who we are
Kliveo Web Studio (“Kliveo”, “we”, “us”) designs, builds and ranks websites. We are operated by [Legal entity name], [Registered address]. We decide how and why your personal information is used, which makes us the “data controller” (or the equivalent under the law that applies to you).
You can reach us at [email protected] or on +1 555 010 0199.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website, and anything you send us through it, by email, by phone, or when you book a call. Work we do for clients is also covered by our Terms of Service and by the project agreement we agree with you.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Free site audit. The website address you enter, and the email address we should send the results to.
- Booking a call and enquiries. Your name, email address, phone number, company, website and anything you tell us about your project or your preferred time.
- Newsletter. Your email address.
- Client work. Contact and billing details, plus the content, files and account access you share so we can deliver your project.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of each request. We use this for security and reliability.
- Analytics. [Describe the analytics tool you use and what it records, or replace this line with: “We do not currently use analytics.”]
Information stored on your device
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. [Confirm this is still true before publishing.] This website stores a few small preferences in your browser’s local storage:
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|

Records which version of our Terms and this policy you accepted, and when | Until you clear your browser data |
Unless this policy says otherwise, these records stay on your device.
Third-party content
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. [Delete this paragraph if you self-host the fonts.]
How we use your information
- To run this website and keep it secure.
- To reply to your enquiries and to book and hold calls.
- To run the free site audit and send you the results.
- To quote for, deliver and support client projects, and to invoice for them.
- To send our newsletter, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.
- To improve this website and our services.
Our legal bases
Where the law requires us to have one, we rely on:
- Consent, for example when you subscribe to the newsletter.
- Contract, when we need your information to quote for or deliver a project you asked for.
- Legitimate interests, such as keeping the website secure and replying to enquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation, such as keeping financial records.
Who we share information with
We share information only where it is needed to run the studio:
- Service providers who work for us under contract: hosting ([Hosting provider]), email and CRM ([Email or CRM provider]), scheduling ([Scheduling tool]) and payments ([Payment processor]).
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor, if the business is ever sold or reorganised. We would tell you first.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside your country. Where your information is sent abroad, we use providers that protect it to a standard the law accepts, such as approved contract clauses. [Confirm the safeguards that apply to your providers.]
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Site audit requests | [12 months] |
| Enquiries that do not become a project | [24 months] |
| Client records and invoices | [7 years, or as long as tax and accounting law requires] |
| Newsletter subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe |
| Server logs | [30 days] |
When the time is up, we delete the information or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We reply within [30 days]. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection regulator: [name the regulator for your jurisdiction].
Security
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls and trusted providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will tell you and the regulator where the law requires us to if something goes wrong.
Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
Every version of this policy has a number and an effective date, shown at the top of this page. The full history of what changed, and when, is in the version history at the bottom.
When we make a material change, returning visitors see a notice asking them to review and accept the new version. When we make a minor change, such as fixing a typo or adding a detail that does not affect your rights, we show a short notice and do not ask for acceptance. Your browser keeps a record of the version you last accepted.
